Community Group Stewardship Award Winners

In the fall quarter of the 2025-26 school year, Hermanas Unidas de UCD was bestowed with a Community Group Stewardship Award from Tree Davis! We began collaborating with Tree Davis last year in their local tree planting events with the intentions of fulfilling one of our three core pillars–community service. Taking part in such events has been a wonderful experience for club members, and our club’s participation does more than simply help Hermanas earn community service hours. More importantly, it empowers us to fulfill our civic duty to ensure the continuity of Davis as the beautiful college town we are lucky to be a part of during our academic pursuits.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk

The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer holds a 5K non-competitive walk to provide a supportive community for courageous breast cancer survivors and people living with metastatic breast cancer, caregivers, and families alike.

Every year Hermanas Unidas de UCD joins the fight against Breast Cancer by participating the walk held in Sacramento every October.

Davis Turkey Trot

A Change of Pace Foundation hosts a Turkey Trot marathon each year, on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, to support and raise awareness to those facing a cancer diagnosis. Hermanas Unidas participates by helping set up and facilitate the event.

Hermanas always serve their community!
