Hermanas Unidas, Inc.

Annual Conference

Every year Hermanas Unidas Inc. hosts a conference where all 17 HaU chapters come together to celebrate Hermandad. During this event, our Hermanas network, attend workshops, listen to guest speakers, and purchase gear from other chapters. The Alumni Association Scholarship is also presented at the conference. Everyone is welcome to attend! ​

Hermanaversary

This yearly event is held on February 12th, to celebrate the establishment of Hermana Unidas at the University of California, Davis. Dinner is planned and carried out by Steering members. The event is open to all general body members and alumni.​

Quarterly Retreat

Retreats serve to allow our Active members to build bonds that will strengthen our Hermandad outside of a campus environment.  Depending on the quarter the retreat can be a day or overnight trip! Regardless, the trip is always filled with fun activities and memories that will last a lifetime!

Hermana / Hermanita

Our Hermana / Hermanita pairs work as a mentorship within HaU.  This relationship helps you build a stronger bond and receive guidance as you navigate college life. If you sign up to be a Hermana, you act as the mentor and if you are a Hermanita you are the mentee. Our Peer Advisors work together to pair our fellow Hermanas based on common interest and goals.

Banquet

The last event of the academic year is Banquet. We encourage everyone to join us as this event serves to recognize all the work our members put into our organization and celebrate the memories made. During the event, we host our annual HaU awards ceremony. The Pillar Awards, Rookie of the Year, Hermana of the Year, and scholarship recipients are announced. The chapter's new Steering for the following academic year is introduced. While we send off our graduating seniors with their HaU stoles!​

Collaboration with other Organizations

Throughout the quarters, HaU hosts collab events with other organizations! Past events include:

  • Hiking with Davis Women's Baseball

  • Field Day- Diversion de Primavera with SRRC: Sol y Luna.

  • Loteria Night with Mujeres Ayudando La Raza.

  • Vinyl Painting with the ladies of Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority Inc.
